Steak Loft welcomes Pat Mitchell
Pianist/vocalist Pat Mitchell has long been a local treasure, whether working solo or with Standard Time, a loose collective of terrific pals from the world of jazz. For years, Mitchell has delivered standards in an inimitable and memorable way, and she has been a routine fixture via residencies at a variety of venues from The Steak Loft to Kensington's in the Spa at Norwich Inn - pulling her sizeable and loyal following from gig to gig.
In recent years, health issues have forced Mitchell to slow down a bit, but she's back, feeling much better - and her music, as therapeutic to her as it is to her fans, remains a joy to hear.
On Sunday, Mitchell returns for a special performance at the Steak Loft. It's a holiday weekend, and holidays are all about families and friends and the idea of celebration. There's no one better to provide a soundtrack for such things than Pat Mitchell.
