ZZ Top in concert at Foxwoods

Dusty Hill and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, shown performing in 2013 at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., will take the stage Saturday night at Foxwoods.

By this point, after 207 years together, there's no reason for Frank Beard, Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill to read any advance press whatsoever about their band, ZZ Top. That they're touring at all is impressive, of course - they play Saturday in the Grand Theater at Foxwoods . At the same time, you'd think they'd find it interesting to maybe change up their set list night to night rather than play the same tunes over and over.

Yes, fans expect certain songs - including the largely lame hits from the early MTV era - but older fans, who've been with them long before the Stink Period that gave us "Legs," "Cheap Sunglasses" and "Pearl Necklace," would really appreciate some diversity.

Maybe, then, a helpful Foxwoods stage hand or hospitality person would tape this to the mirror of the ZZ Top dressing room. Dudes: please throw us several archival bones such as "Francine," "Brown Sugar," "Whiskey 'n Mama," "Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers," "(Somebody Else Been) Shaking Your Tree" and "Asleep in the Desert." Thanks!
