Affordable housing forum will be held Oct. 22

Groton-based Chelsea Groton Bank is presenting an Affordable Housing Forum on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Otis Library in Norwich.

Mayor Deb Hinchey of Norwich, Selectman Rob Simmons of Stonington, Jude Carroll of the Connecticut Housing Coalition, Erica Schwarz of Local Initiatives Support Coalition and Housing Connections, and Norbert Deslauriers of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority will discuss the need for affordable housing in growing urban and suburban areas in southeastern Connecticut.

Katy Shafer of Partnership for Strong Communities, will moderate the forum.
