Dime Bank Foundation supports senior center

Dime Bank Foundation has awarded $1,500 to the Rose City Senior Center in Norwich to provide financial support for extended hours for a benefits counselor.

The counselor will help frail elderly clients access such benefits as Medicare and various assistance programs.

Established in 1973, The Rose City Senior Center is a department of the City of Norwich and a branch of the Department of Human Services. The center is the primary point in the community for information, resources and activity for individuals aged fifty-five and older.

Dime Bank established the Dime Foundation in 1998 to fund charitable non-profits. For more information, visit www.dime-bank.com/dime-foundation.php
