HOPE to show off new NL project

Housing Opportunities for People is holding a celebration at 1 p.m. Friday of the completion of its latest affordable home at 41 Belden St. in New London.

In July, HOPE showed off a renovated home at 63 Belden St. Several housing organizations have coordinated the rehabilitation of about two dozen homes in the neighborhood.

The most recent rehab was made possible by state affordable-housing tax credits. HOPE Inc. has plans for at least two more projects in the area, including a new home to be built on a vacant lot.
