Celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Foxwoods restaurant opening Friday

Mashantucket — Guy Fieri’s Foxwoods Kitchen + Bar, one of four new restaurants planned at Foxwoods Resort Casino, will open at 11 a.m. Friday, Foxwoods has announced.

Fieri, the celebrity chef, restaurateur, author and host of the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” is partnering with Big Night Entertainment Group, the Boston-based outfit whose roster includes four other venues at Foxwoods — Scorpion Bar, High Rollers Luxury Lanes & Lounge, Red Lantern and Shrine.

The new, 258-seat restaurant is located on the casino level of the Grand Pequot Tower.

Designed by Peter Niemitz of Niemitz Design Group of Boston, the 9,800-square-foot location features an open kitchen, large wood ceiling beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, custom furniture in brown leathers and suedes and hand-made metal iron chandeliers. A 42-foot wooden bar top designed with tempered glass overlooks the casino. Two 90-inch television screens sit above the bar.

Fieri’s signature American-style cuisine is highlighted by his Insta-famous Trash Can Nachos, BBQ Bahn Mi, Bacon Mac-N-Cheese Burger and Lobster Agra Diavolo, as well as sandwiches, burgers, “fork-and-knife entrees” and desserts.

Also coming to Foxwoods are Sugar Factory American Brasserie, which will be installed in the former COMIX comedy club; Cat Cora’s Wine Bar, which will fill space formerly occupied by Burke in the Box between the Grand Pequot Tower and The Fox Tower; and Richard Rawlings’ GARAGE, which will take over the former Stadium Sports Bar & Grille space near the Rainmaker Casino.
