Mystic accountant named to Charter Oak board of directors
Local accountant Paul Filippetti has been named to the Charter Oak Federal Credit Union's board of directors.
Filippetti, a Mystic resident, had served as a member of Waterford-based Charter Oak’s supervisory committee since January 2012. He is a partner with Hoyt, Filippetti & Malaghan LLC, a full-service accounting firm with offices in Groton and Westerly.
"Paul brings an excellent perspective to our board," said Guy Henry, Charter Oak board chairman. "Paul's also committed to the community ... and that's very important to a community-based credit union like Charter Oak."
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Filippetti has been a member of Charter Oak since 1984. He serves as board treasurer for the Groton Parks Foundation and treasurer of the Groton Housing Authority.
