Community Foundation seeks grant applications from agencies, groups serving women and girls

The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut is seeking applications for permanently endowed grants it distributes to organizations and agencies that work to advance the equity and well-being of women and girls in eastern Connecticut.

The grant applicants should reflect the challenges identified in the report the foundation commissioned in 2018, titled "The Status of Women and Girls in Eastern Connecticut," including advancing families' economic security, empowering women and girls and supporting access to women’s health, mental health and reproductive health services.

Grant applications for 2018 are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 1.

Applicants must be 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, schools, municipal or governmental agencies or partner with a nonprofit organization, and must serve one or more of the 42 communities in eastern Connecticut.

For more information visit the foundation's website at www.cfect.org.
