    Sun sign Gray, McCray

The Connecticut Sun signed rookie Chelsea Gray and veteran Danielle McCray to contracts on Wednesday.

McCray, a 5-foot-11 guard-forward, was signed to a training camp contract. She was drafted seventh overall by Connecticut in the 2010 WNBA Draft despite tearing her left anterior cruciate ligament during her senior season at Kansas. She also missed the 2013 WNBA season after tearing her left Achilles tendon while playing in Italy.

McCray has played 80 games in three seasons and averaged 4.6 points. She's averaging 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists for Elitzur Ramla in Israel.

Gray, a 5-foot-11 guard, signed a rookie deal that lasts three seasons with an option for a fourth. Gray was drafted 11th overall in last year's WNBA Draft even though she would miss the season after dislocating her right kneecap in February 2014 of her senior year at Duke. She was the Co-Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year her junior season.
