Charlie and Gail Ryan of Groton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Ryan, to Eric Stromme, son of John and Mary Stromme of Norman, Okla.

The future bride will be receiving her master of science degree in college student personnel from the University of Rhode Island in May 2015, where she is currently working in the office of enrollment services. She is a 2005 graduate of Fitch High School.

The future groom graduated with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, and will receive his master of science degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University in May 2015. He is serving as a Navy officer aboard the USS MISSOURI (SSN-780), at Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, and has received orders to the Hampton Roads, Va. area, where the couple will reside following the June 2015 wedding.
