Charles and Susan Coleman of Montville are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Lt. Kyle Coleman to Caitlyn Guarino, daughter of Michael and Deborah Guarino of Lee, N.Y. The couple met in Boston in 2013, at a charity auction which featured New England Patriot teammates raising funds for three area children's hospitals.

Kyle is a 2011 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, currently serving as chief of response for the CG Marine Safety Unit in Paducah, Ky., focusing on boating traffic and environmental concerns on the Ohio, Tennessee, Cumberland, and Mississippi rivers.

Caitlyn received her baccalaureate degree from Quinnipiac University and a master of arts degree from Simmons College in Boston, and is the director of Behavioral Analysis for the McCracken County School District in Paducah.

A June wedding is planned.
