Lagunitas offers amazing late summer brew

It's funny how quickly the beer snobs can turn. Not long ago, the folks at Lagunitas were THE hip youngster in Craft Brew Land. The thing is, they're so damned good that they became ... oh, no! ... actually popular with the masses. The snobs drifted away, leaving the greatness to folks like, well, me. I'm still loyal, and this new recipe, Aunt Sally, is as great as the company's slogan suggests: "A Unique Dry-Hopped Sweet Tart Sour Mash Ale." The serial capitalization is emphatic and well-earned. And while the copywriters have hogged most of the appropriate adjectives, this is a very wonderful late summer beer. Hell, I plan on drinking it well into the fall — or at least until all the encroaching pumpkin beers chase the last golden dregs down my throat.
