It includes face-painting, glitter tattoos, and a free cupcake with each scarecrow! Proceeds support the CDR, a not-for-profit serving over 4,000 meals/month. We will leave from our dock at Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam and cruise south. You will see the Goodspeed Opera House, the East Haddam Swing Bridge, get a great view of Gillette Castle State Park, Connecticut's greatest tourist attraction and the Chester/Hadlyme Ferry, the second oldest operating ferry in the United States. We will point out where a local eagle's nest is and you will have a chance to view a very beautiful section of the pristine lower Connecticut River. Your Captain and crew will narrate about local history, point out areas of interest and inform you of the river’s flora and fauna. We may even see our resident Bald Eagles! This area has been labeled by The Nature Conservancy as "One of the Last Great Places". This cruise is a 90 minutes.
