Art Exhibits/Openings

Westerly Library, 44 Broad St., Westerly, RI , 02891

The Kozora Group is having an art opening at Westerly Public Library, in the Hoxie Gallery. Robert Kozora, the senior member of the Kozora Group, was a member of the Artists’ Guild and Gallery in Charlestown, along with his lifelong friend John Lutes, a well known local artist.
Many of the other painters exhibiting also love to compose scenes of local interest. Janice Russell came to painting from her work in natural history illustration. Artist Jean Connors has a background in landscape design and wanted to see her world on canvas. Robin Petro was pointed in a new direction when she realized that her awards for sculpture and ceramics were mostly for the surface decoration.

for parents of children with special needs to discuss summer vacation programs.
Program cuts have caused hardships for many families who are raising children with special needs. Many children with special needs cannot be left alone regardless of their age, many require very structured activities, frequent medication and some require one to one assistance at all times.
The summer camp presentation was created to help parents find what is available for summer programming for their child and answer the questions that every special needs parent asks.
There is no fee and new parents are always welcome. Contact April Dipollina at The CT Family Support Network at (860) 271-4371 or adipollina@lmhosp.org.
