Deep River Ambulance and Chester Hose Co. are pleased to sponsor Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses this summer. The Deep River Ambulance course (284 West Elm Street, Deep River) will run Monday, Wednesday and Thursday days (8:30 am to 2:00 pm) from June 18 to August 16. The Chester Hose Co. course (6 High Street, Chester) will run Sunday, Monday and Thursday evenings (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm) starting June 17. Course fee is $725 and includes CPR certification and EMT class textbook. A physical exam and proof of current inoculation status are required. The Last of the Red Hot Lovers which opens in Ivoryton on June 6th and runs through June 24th, introduces us to Barney Cashman, a 47-year-old restaurateur, who decides he needs to take a break from his 23-year-old marriage. On three different afternoons, he brings women to his mother’s apartment while she’s at the hospital volunteering. Behind plentiful laughs is a tender portrayal of a decent fellow who just can’t succeed in sinning.
