Studio33 presents “Life’s a Beach”, a collection of paintings by local artists Gigi Mezzo Genovese and Andrea Wiley. Both women focus their paintings on shoreline centric scenes; with Andrea highlighting the beauties of the marshes, beach & lighthouses, while Gigi focuses on making the everyday beach scenes playful, something you might otherwise overlook. The medium each women works in panders particularly well to their individual styles, with bright saturated acrylics in Gigi’s cheerful scenes and soft, thick oil paints capturing Andrea’s peaceful viewpoint. The show is not one to miss, running from July 2nd through the 30th.

-The White City;

Stage/Theater

Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, 305 Great Neck Road, Waterford, CT , 06385

Chicago, 1893. The city hosts the World’s Columbian Exposition. Change is palpable: all in attendance hope to propel society into a shining new era. We follow Lucy, a rambunctious sharpshooter from Buffalo Bill's Wild West, as she explores the Fair, thrilled by the fast-paced modernity of city life. But trouble simmers beneath the façade of the shimmering “White City” when young women begin to go missing, as Henry Howard Holmes, a local doctor, exploits the innovations presented at the fair for his own demented purposes. Loosely based on the true story of America’s first recognized serial killer, The White City explores all of the delightful (and deadly) possibilities that accompany the introduction of new technology.
