7 a.m., The Niantic Bay Triathlon starts with a 1/2 mile swim in the calm waters of Niantic Bay. The race continues with a 12 mile bike ride through shaded streets of scenic East Lyme and finishes with a 3.2 mile run completely along the oceanfront. Relay teams of 2 or 3 members are welcome and the Niantic Bay Tri also offers an Aquabike division.

A high quality short sleeve technical shirt is included with entry fee. Finisher's earn a unique medal and enjoy a festive post-race party on the beach at McCook Beach Park. Niantic was recently named the first ”Fan Favorite” at the Connecticut Conference on Tourism Industry Forum.

Join the Sports Council for the 7th Annual CHALK TALK! The luncheon features a panel discussion with three of the area’s head football coaches – Tom Godek (Southern Connecticut State University), Chris Pincince (University of New Haven) and Tony Reno (Yale University). Chalk Talk provides a fun opportunity to network and lunch over a lively discussion over college football! Lunch provided by Fornarelli's Restaurant.
