The annual Salmon River Run will take place Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m. in front of the Comstock Covered Bridge on the East Hampton/Colchester town line.

The course is a hybrid of pavement, some trail and some dirt road along the Salmon River and Airline Trail, followed by a BBQ that includes locally grown and sourced food and beverage items.

The entry fee is $25 and includes the BBQ and awards ceremony. Proceeds support the Colchester Land Trust. A free organic cotton T-shirt and a pair of Wigwam Mills running socks go to the first 200 runners to sign up. Interested participants may register by mail or online until May 6 at www.salmonriverrun.org. Runners also may sign up on May 9 from 8 to 9:45 a.m.
