A fest for the family: Fish Tales, Tugs & Sails
Buoyed by a maritime theme, the latest festival to make its seasonal appearance in New London will showcase its merry mix of activities related to literature and the environment.
Yes, it's Fish Tales, Tugs & Sails, running Saturday at the Waterfront Park.
And families take note: admission to the extravaganza is free.
This year will feature performances, readings and touch tanks among its many offerings. Those taking to the stage will include Steve Elci and Friends at 3 p.m., Writers' Block Ink at 12:45 p.m., and Dance in Fusion of New London County at 2:45 p.m. Local figures will read aloud in the Story-time Tent.
Visitors can venture off terra firma, too, and board Project Oceanology's Enviro-lab, the Mystic Whaler, or the Amistad, or they can motor out to Ledge Light.
