The Pride Festival in New London returns this weekend, with festivities on Friday at Hygienic Art Park and then Saturday at Ocean Beach Park. This LGBTQ pride event is hosted by the Board of Directors of OutCT.

On Friday, the Hygienic Park will be the site for Sister Funk's music, the Miss Fabulous 2016 Pageant, a Puppy Parade, and a DJ Dance Party featuring DJ John Rzasa.

On Saturday, Ocean Beach will feature a concert by the Hartford Gay Men's Chorus at 1 p.m., along with shows at night by The Carrie Ashton Band, Jodi Jolt and the Volt and the Imperial Court of Connecticut. A nautical-themed "Cosplay" costume contest will be held, too. Kids can hula hoop, and can try dressing up and nail painting at the Diva Center.
