Antique vehicles roll into Mystic Seaport
You always get a taste of 19th-century history when you visit Mystic Seaport, but this weekend, the focus is on a different era and a different mode of transportation.
On Sunday, the 19th Annual Antique Vehicle Show returns to Mystic Seaport, and more than 100 pre-1930 cars, trucks and motorcycles will be displayed in all their glory. Visitors can chat with the owners and go for a ride in one of the automobiles. They might want to hang around, too, for the 4 p.m. Grand Parade of Vehicles, which travels around the Village Green.
This year's featured vehicle is a 1914 Hupmobile Model 32 Roadster owned by Larry and Vicky Connor of Voluntown.
Antique Vehicle Show, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Mystic Seaport, Greenmanville Avenue; seaport admission $26 adults, $24 ages 65 and up, $17 ages 6-17, free ages 5 and under; (860) 572-0711.
