Sandler leads standup charge at Sun

It's only been a half-year or so since Adam Sandler and a group of comic pals hit the Mohegan Sun Arena on their "The Do-Over Tour." Also performing were David Spade, Rob Schneider and Nick Swardson.

Well, the same quartet is back on the road and, while it's not called "The Do-Over Do-Over Tour," it could be. That would be funnier than "Here Comes the Funny Tour," which is what it's billed as this time around. Adam didn't ask for my input.

As it turns out, "The Do-Over Tour" coincided with a Sandler/Spade film called "The Do-Over" and, inasmuch as I couldn't find a single remotely positive review of the movie, maybe that's why they're calling this new endeavor something that doesn't remind folks of the film.

Here's the thing, though. Maybe the movie sucked; maybe not. But each of these four guys is capable of some laugh-inducing standup. Seriously. Well, not seriously, but ...

Here Comes the Funny Tour, 8 p.m. Saturday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $79-$99; 1-800-745-1286.
