It's been almost 10 years since Chris Rock — one of the top comedians in any of the four closest solar systems — went out on a standup tour. There might be a reason for that. As reviews of shows on his new "Total Blackout" tour indicate, Rock explains how his infidelities on the road were major components in the ruination of his marriage. Oh, and by the way, alimony is expensive.

Divorce and his own self-reflective confessions and anxieties are apparently major sources of material for "Total Blackout," and the jokes and observations are definitely more personal than in the past.

Fans shouldn't be worried, though, that maturity and new perspectives will diminish his comic power, and an appearance Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Arena should be brutally funny regardless of whether the punch lines are autobiographical, political, cultural — or a magical Rockian juxtaposition of all.

Chris Rock, 8 p.m. Saturday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $69-$119; 1-800-745-3000.
