The main draw: The Hygienic Salon des Independants

Lest ye get overwhelmed by the dozens of different activities and events burbling over Hygienic weekend and beyond, don't overlook the original draw - the art show.

Officially called "The Salon des Indépendants," the 36th annual version of the exhibit opens at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Hygienic Galleries and runs through Feb. 14. Drop-off for the work takes place from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.

Local and regional artists and attendees know the philosophy and the drill: one piece per artist, no judge, no jury, no fees, and no censorship.
