    Fun with fondue at Sticks & Stones

    Fondue at Sticks & Stones, Mohegan Sun

    I realize that food trends cycle in and out of fashion, but two dishes I've particularly missed are crepes and fondue. Well, fondue is back at the new restaurant Sticks & Stones at Mohegan Sun. I tried the "classic" fondue ($12.95) and was contented. I dipped bread and apple slices into the mix of Monterey Jack, gruyere, Vermont sharp cheddar, beer, mustard and garlic. As much as I love fondue, I might be tempted to sample one of the stone-seared entrees on my next visit to Sticks & Stones; you cook your entrée on the hot rocks they bring to your table — a new trend for me to try.
