Mohegan Sun Arena will play host to the CIAC's most popular event this weekend when four boys' and four girls' basketball state championships are decided.

Eight titles games will be held in three sessions. The sessions are as follows:

Session I, today - Class S girls: Canton vs. Thomaston, 10 a.m.; Class M girls: Cromwell vs. St. Joseph, 12:30 p.m.; and Class M boys: Notre Dame-Fairfield vs. Weaver, 3 p.m.

Session II, today - Class LL girls: South Windsor vs. Wilton, 6:15 p.m.; and Class LL boys: Fairfield Prep vs. Westhill, 8:15 p.m.

Session III, Sunday - Class L girls: Hartford Capital vs. Northwest Catholic, 12:30 p.m.; Class L boys: Bunnell vs. Naugatuck, 3 p.m.; and Class S boys: Sacred Heart vs. Valley Regional, 5:30 p.m.

All tickets are $10 per session - children ages five and under with a ticket-holding adult are admitted free and do not require a ticket of their own. All tickets are general admission; there are no reserved seat tickets. Tickets may be purchased at the Mohegan Sun box office, ticketmaster.com, or ciacsports.com.

It'll be the seventh year that Mohegan Sun Arena has hosted the state finals. A record-setting 20,456 attended last season's championship weekend.
