H.S. lacrosse finals on the line on Thursday
Four local high school lacrosse tournament titles will be on the line Thursday.
The Eastern Connecticut Conference titles will be decided in a doubleheader at East Lyme High School and the Shoreline Conference is having its doubleheader at Connecticut College.
The ECC boys' final between No. 1 East Lyme (10-7) and No. 3 Waterford (13-4) is at 5:30 p.m. East Lyme is the defending champion and has won 12 of the last 13 titles. East Lyme beat Waterford 4-0 on April 19, the only meeting between the teams this season.
No. 1 East Lyme (14-3) plays No. 3 Bacon Academy (14-3) for the ECC girls' title at 7:30 p.m. East Lyme is shooting for its 10th straight title and beat Bacon twice during the regular season, winning by 17-7 scores on April 12 and May 12.
No. 2 Old Lyme faces off against No. 4 Morgan in the Shoreline boys' final at 5 p.m. Old Lyme, the defending champion, beat Morgan 15-8 in the season-opener on April 2, and 8-7 on April 28.
The Shoreline girls' final between No. 1 Old Lyme and No. 2 Old Saybrook begins at 7 p.m., and is a rematch of last year's final which Old Saybrook won. Old Lyme swept the season series, winning 7-3 on April 14 and 13-8 on May 10.
