    H.S. soccer: East Lyme girls' end regular season with 5-1 win over Bacon

    Colchester — Mackenzie Northcutt scored twice and Stephanie deLaforcade added four assists as East Lyme finished its regular season with a 5-1 girls' soccer victory over Bacon Academy on Monday.

    Berkeley Callaghan had a goal and an assist for the Vikings (14-1-1) while Olivia Facchini and Kayla Markovitz each added goals and goalie Hayley Sorrentino had seven saves.

    The game was scoreless at halftime.

    Nicole Lizotte scored for the Bobcats (7-8-1).

    In other games:

    • Tiffany Evans scored twice as Montville handed Plainfield its first loss of the season, 4-0. Rachel Marchini and Michaela MacCracken also scored for the Indians (10-4-2), Olivia Meehan and Maddy Campbell each had an assist and goalie Lauren Ross added 10 saves. The Panthers are 14-1-1.

    • Kayla Lanza scored twice in the second half as Immaculate defeated Norwich Free Academy 2-0. Immaculate is 8-3-5. Kayla Tosses had 12 for the Wildcats (7-7-1).

    • Noelle Thomas blasted home a direct kick with three minutes remaining to break a 1-1 tie and give Stonington a 2-1 victory over Fitch in a match played at Connecticut College. Kate Hall also scored for the Bears (7-6-3) while Maddie Lynch scored for the Falcons (2-13).

    Boys

    • Gabe Messina scored three goals, all in the second half, as Fitch pulled away for a 4-0 victory over Killingly. The Falcons (8-7) had taken a 1-0 lead late in the first on a goal by Meshama Charles before Messina took over in the second half. Charles assisted on Messina's first goal and Caleb Robbins assisted on his second. Goalies Weston Jacey (eight saves) and Nick Helbig (four) combined for 12 saves and the shutout.

    • Lucas Chaude scored in the 56th minute, assisted by Noah Cook, to lift Montville to a 1-0 nonleague victory over North Branford in the Indians' regular-season finale. Montville (8-7-1) held a 23-3 edge in shots and goalie Nik Strickland earned the shutout by making just one save.

    • Ronaldo San Martin scored three goals, including the tying goal on a header with two minutes left in regulation, as New London rallied to beat Griswold, 6-5 in overtime, in its season finale. Christian Pataquiva added two goals for the Whalers, who finish 3-13, and Precious Ehwarieme also scored a goal.

    • Alvaro Meletz Guarcas scored twice for Windham in its 6-0 win over Wheeler in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division III game. Bowen Baker had four saves for the Lions (3-12-1, 3-9).
