    Middletown — Michael Burrows pitched a two-hitter and struck out 15 in a dominating pitching performance as Waterford won the 10th state championship in program history with a 4-0 victory victory over Lewis Mills in the Class M state baseball final on Friday night at Palmer Field.

    The third-seeded Lancers, who finish 22-4, broke the game open with two runs in the bottom of the sixth with Burrows doubling home the third run and scoring the final run on a base hit by Tyler Yeomans.

    Burrows struck out the side in the first, second, sixth and seventh.

    Dylan Bosco and Collin Bakken also had RBI singles for Waterford against the No. 4 Spartans.
