    H.S. soccer roundup: Johnson leads unbeaten Old Lyme to victory

    Old Saybrook — Mya Johnson scored three goals and had an assist as the undefeated Old Lyme girls' soccer team beat Old Saybrook 6-0 in a Shoreline Conference game on Monday.

    Maddie Ouellette had a goal and two assists, Maddie Zrenda and Jenny Ritchie scored goals, Ciara Klimaszewski had an assist and Emily Rivera and Emma McCulloch combined for six saves for the Old Lyme (13-0, 9-0).

    In other games:

    • Alex Aguiar scored three goals as Norwich Tech/Holy Family beat Prince Tech 5-1 in a Connecticut Technical Conference game. Erin McBride had a goal and two assists, Haley Bogle scored and Tessa Waskin and Julie Blake had assists for Norwich Tech/Holy Family (6-7).

    Boys 

    • Nate McCracken scored twice as Ledyard beat New London 3-1 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I game.  Berkely Wachtmann had a goal and Jack Woodruff and Ian Kamperschroer had assists for Ledyard (9-5, 3-4). Joziah Gach gave New London (2-10-1, 1-7) the lead in the 9th minute and teammate Guiseppe Conte made 12 saves.

    • Harrison Hoops and Graham Johnstone scored two goals each as Stonington remained unbeaten with a 4-0 win over Killingly in an ECC Division II game. Tyler Fidrych assisted on both of Johnstone's goals and Blake Edwards and Jamison Magowan assisted on Hoops' goals for the Bears (12-0-1, 7-0-1), who outshot Killingly 25-1.  

    • Nick Chirillo scored three goals to lead Williams School to a 4-2 win over Oxford Academy. Callum Tresnan also scored for Williams.

    • Jack O'Leary and Hunter Baillargeon scored three goals each as St. Bernard beat Tourtellotte 8-1 in an ECC Division III game. Brian Bergeron and Anthony Hindle-Cartagena also scored for the Saints (3-9-2, 3-7-2). 

    • Jack Gelhaus's goal in the 32nd minute held up as Woodstock Academy beat Montville 1-0 in an ECC Division II game. Jose Zuniga made nine saves for Montville (4-8-1, 2-6-1).

    • Drew Archer and Zach Allard scored two goals each as Lyman Memorial beat Wheeler 6-0 in an ECC Division III game. Wheeler is 5-10, 4-7.
