We can't afford to wait any longer to attack the Islamic State

On Sept. 11, 2001, as the history books show, cunning, flight-trained Islamic terrorists piloted two giant U.S. airliners that caused the New York Twin Towers catastrophic collapse, killing several thousand people, while a third plane destroyed a portion of the Pentagon.

Luckily, brave passengers caused the forth plane to crash before it got to the U.S. Capitol or the White House.

Here we are about 14 years later and President Obama still will not listen to his seasoned military advisors, even after he has made a mess of Iraq and potentially our dealings with Iran.

In addition, Hillary Clinton and those in charge in the Situation Room let down the ambassador in Benghazi and Islamic terrorists caused his death and that of other personnel.

Each day I read letters to the editor from various newspapers and I keep seeing ones like the one in The Day Feb. 15, "U.S. military action against ISIS is long overdue."

    How long must we wait?
