Kurds need weapons immediately to push back ISIS

The Kurds are the only group that are conducting an effective ground offensive against ISIS, however, they are fighting with inadequate weaponry. ISIS has advanced weaponry such as tanks, armored troop carriers, long-range cannons, that they captured from a fleeing Iraqi military. These weapons were provided by U.S. taxpayers. We have not provided the Kurds with advanced weaponry, because Turkey and Iran object fearing an independent Kurdistan. Turkey, a member of NATO, refuses to join in the battle to destroy ISIS. Thousands of Kurdish fighters have been killed by ISIS because of this inequality.

It seems that we owe more to the Kurds who were slaughtered by Saddam Hussein's army during the Gulf War, when they rose up against Saddam with our encouragement. We expect the retrained Iraqi Army to conduct a ground war. At present, they are not up to the task after all the weapons, money, training we provided during the failed, U.S. chosen, Maliki presidency. Let's supply advanced weapons to the Kurds now without further stalling.
