Thames Street looks great, but what about cars?

I remember growing up on Thames Street in Groton 25 years ago. You could walk down the street without any trouble. I am happy that the end of the upgrades to the sidewalks and streets are in sight. It’s great if a sidewalk looks good, but when there are numerous cars parked on them blocking the walkway it defeats the purpose. It sure would be nice to be able to walk down the street with my little kids ages 2, 4, and 7 without dragging them out into the street every other house.
