    Stop personal attacks at meetings

As we get older and reach the ages of retirement I would think life would become leisurely and peaceful. Instead here in New London a few seem to be bound and determined to create and instill havoc. This havoc seems to be directed for the most part at our seniors. It seems to be an ongoing scenario to destroy and when the personal attacks do not work on one person or institution then the next person or institution to dare not agree falls onto the receiving end of the vicious, vindictive rants.

We are all entitled to our personal opinions. However, we are not and should not be allowed to defame another character or motive at a public meeting. I have asked the New London City Council to put a stop to this. If Robert’s Rules of Order were being followed these tirades would have been stopped several years ago.

So, once again, I say this should be a leisurely and peaceful time of life.
