Sad Connecticut; I continue being asked the same question, but now with increased frequency. That question is, “When are you leaving?” 

I feel awkward and defensive when I try to justify remaining. I’m not dumb. I recognize Connecticut is a sad and depressing place for someone like me, who believes in an opportunity society. Using the words opportunity and Connecticut in the same sentence seems so very dishonest.
