Lemonade stands launch future entrepreneurs
On our way home from a so-so dinner, my wife and I came across a lemonade stand in front of a house with two kids and a sign. As I started to pull over my wife said, "Why are you stopping?" I said, “Well its 7:30 and two kids are selling lemonade.” She said, "You don't like lemonade." I said, “Does it really matter? I can’t resist stopping at a lemonade stand as I feel these young people get it at an early age and have nowhere to go but up!”
So, as a person who is not a huge fan of lemonade, it was perfect! The wife was happy I stopped and I was thrilled. These lemonade stands are where smart, caring business people start out.
My message here is support your local kid-run lemonade stands. They could be future business owners paying well-needed tax dollars. They are good citizens and neighbors. And to think all that good from one simple lemonade stand. Next time you see one, stop by, you could be investing in your future! Oh yea, the lemonade was great and the kids were great; much better than the food we ate an hour earlier.
