Donald Trump’s leadership style is reminiscent of many totalitarian leaders of the past.

1. They believed that only they could solve their country’s problems.

2. They led by causing fear among the people.

3. They bullied opponents.

4. They acted as demagogues.

5. They scapegoated by blaming other’s for their countries' problems.

6. Lies and misinformation were constantly stated to confuse the people (a democracy cannot survive without the truth from its leaders).

7. They asked the people to blindly accept what thy said.

8. They claimed that there was always an inside or outside enemy of the country, which served as a distraction to the reality of what the leader was actually doing. 

America is a great nation. Only good people, courage, and the truth can keep it that way.
