Stop blocking Trump with constant vitriol
I feed sadness at the apparent decline of a once great political party. My wife and I worked for John Kennedy’s election and were happy at his success. Kennedy would be appalled at how far to the left and how radical his Democratic Party and many of its followers have become.
Democrats and their followers just can’t accept that American people rejected their candidate and her vision for America and elected President Trump. It’s like their mothers and fathers never said, “No Johnny, you can’t have that.” So now they are throwing an adult temper-tantrum. Critics identify the Trump followers as the "deplorables" their candidate once identified them as.
Many Americans were very unhappy at President Obama’s election and re-election because they did not agree with his vision for America. But they did not take to the streets causing injury and personal property loss to express their feelings. They let him proceed with his programs without constant vitriol and obstruction.
An issue of great concern to me is the width of the philosophical difference between the two parties. It seems to make any bipartisan agreement virtually impossible. That is certainly not good for our country.
