    Kudos to Groton Public Library

As a caregiver to my 89-year old father, I visit with my Day almost every day at Windham Falls Estates. I conduct most of my daily activities in the Groton-Mystic area.

Recently, the Groton Public Library provided a form, “How are we doing? What could we do better? Your comments will help us know how we are doing and how we might improve. Please take a few moments to comment on library service.”

Because of the leadership of Director Betty Anny Reiter the reference and circulation staff are superior public servants: very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and most importantly consistently friendly.

As a social worker-artist, I have exhibited my art in many exhibits at the library. The Groton Public Library offers artists and patron who enjoy viewing work created by local talent a positive opportunity to share the arts in a bright, spacious and welcoming venue.

Lady Bird Johnson stated, “Perhaps no place in any community is so totally democratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest.”

Visit your public library often; return or renew your borrowed item on time and be grateful these gathering places and these public servants are here for all of us!
