Beware the stealthy Montville Democratic Party

The Montville Republican Party is doing everything right for the upcoming elections. They have real website presence, complete mission statement, full candidate biographies with color photos, physical Gristmill Plaza Headquarters, events planned/held, live Tuesday Montville Republican Town Committee Facebook discussions, and excellent candidates.

I take extreme exception to the slanderous unattributed article, "

Montville state trooper who was subject of internal investigation has retired," (Oct. 11). I support Jeff Rogers for town councilor. He is exceptionally qualified. In fact, he would make an excellent Montville Police chief, if the town decides to have an independent police. He possesses a rare combination of exceptional State Trooper experience with local involvement.

What has the Montville Democratic Party produced? Nothing! No website, no campaign headquarters, no mission statements, no candidate biographies.

They seemingly feel it isn't important to let voters know their candidates and their plans, confident they will continue controlling town politics.

How about a council pre-election consensus-building meeting of both party candidates and their views, with public invited?
