Restore state cuts hitting vulnerable elderly

I am urging the Connecticut General Assembly to consider the devastating consequences of it having cut the MSP Program for our low-income senior citizens. This cut severely effects our most vulnerable elderly. Having to choose between health care, going to the doctors or paying for food or electricity is unacceptable.

I urge our legislators and governor to reconsider this heinous decision and restore the income guidelines. This cut affects 75,000 senior citizens, approximately 400 of them living in Montville. Throughout our state, including at our own Montville Senior Center, those working with the elderly have banned together to fight for the reversal of this decision and to ensure that our low-income elderly continue to have the health care they need.

I ask everyone to call and voice your concern. Restore MSP!
