Grants available for animal protection

Organizations in eastern Connecticut that support the well being, humane treatment and protection of animals in Groton can now apply for grants up to $5,000 from the People for Animals & Wildlife fund coordinated by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut.

P.A.W. grants are awarded from the Josephine and Gabriel Sacco Fund for Animals. Organizations from outside Groton may apply, but funding must go to animals in the town.

Funding is available for projects to be implemented between June 2015 and June 2016. Recipients will be announced in May 2015. For more information, email or call Alison Woods at alison@cfect.org or 860-442-3572.
