Stonington — The Stonington Community Center will sponsor a free paddle tennis program for youths from grade 4 to high school from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. There will be lessons from certified instructors, games and pizza.

The event is sponsored by the American Platform Tennis Association as part of its First Serve initiative, designed to get youths involved in the sport.

No prior experience is necessary. Parents or guardians must complete a waiver prior to participation. The waivers can be obtained at the COMO or completed at the event. More details are at www.thecomo.org.
