East Lyme — The town has provided an updated schedule for paving the rest of the Grand Street area.

The town’s paving contractor has notified the town that they are behind schedule on other jobs and therefore won’t start paving the rest of the Grand Street area until Monday, Oct. 30, according to a town notice. Once the contractor begins, the paving should take three to four days to complete.

"While paving, we will do our best to minimize disturbance to the residents but please expect some minor delays," the notice states.

"Once we finish installing the top course of pavement we will be installing asphalt curbing where needed and to fix driveways and aprons as necessary," the notice continues. "At that time, we will also be going around the neighborhood spreading loam and applying grass seed to finish off the project."
