New London hosts meeting to discuss Medicare Savings Program changes

New London - The city and New London Senior Affairs Commission will host a town hall meeting between 9 a.m. and noon on Wednesday to discuss the General Assembly’s changes to the Medicare Savings Program and other issues impacting seniors.

The meeting will be held at the New London Senior Center at 120 Broad St.

Mayor Michael Passero will be joined by state Sen. Paul Formica, R-East Lyme, and state Rep. Chris Soto, D-New London. The meeting will also include a presentation by Laura Crews, the Senior Resources Agency’s director of benefits access, on alternative options and resources for current MSP beneficiaries who may be affected by the anticipated changes to the program.
