English and art intertwined at adult ed classes

In partnership with the Florence Griswold Museum and Expressiones Gallery, New London Adult Education recently started offering art classes with adult English language learners. Every month, art educators teach different techniques and media ranging from collages to printmaking.
The January class had students working with clay to make coil pots. Student works will be put on display at Expressiones Gallery in May as part of the gallery’s community mission.
