Mohegan Sun marks rebranding of Sky Tower hotel spa

Mohegan — Mohegan Sun rebranded the Elemis Spa in its Sky Tower hotel as Mandara Spa on Tuesday, uniting it with the Mandara Spa in its Earth Tower hotel, which opened in February 2017.

Representatives of Mohegan Sun, OneSpaWorld LLC, which owns the Mandara Spa brand, and spa staff took part in a ribbon-cutting to mark the event. The Sky Tower spa is the global Mandara brand’s 57th location.

The 16,000-square-foot spa features two couples’ suites, eight massage rooms and three “aesthetic rooms;” men’s and women’s lounges; locker rooms with sauna, steam room and hydropool; reception and retail areas; a full-service salon and a fitness center.

“The Spa & Salon on the third floor of Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower has been a place we have wanted to update and modernize for quite some time,” said Jeff Hamilton, Mohegan Sun’s assistant general manager. “We’re very pleased to see it all come together, and we’re very excited for guests to experience the fully revamped spa and all of the world-class features and services Mandara Spa at Mohegan Sun will provide.”

Kenneth Park Architects, headquartered in New York City, designed the Mandara spas at Mohegan Sun. A/Z Corp. of North Stonington, which has completed a number of projects at Mohegan Sun, was the general contractor.
