Local roundup: Bears remain unbeaten in girls' lacrosse
Montville — Margit Burgess scored four goals, leading unbeaten Stonington to a 13-9 win over Montville in a high school girls' lacrosse game Tuesday.
Hannah Lamb, Kate Johnson and Lauren Turner had two goals each for Stonington (6-0). Alyssa Turchetta and Alexis Delucia had four goals each and Hailey Adcock made 13 saves for Montville (4-4).
In other games:
• Hand outscored East Lyme 8-4 in the second half and won the nonleague game 14-10, handing the Vikings their first loss of the season. Elena Hynes had four goals and two assists, Karlie Rowe had two goals and an assist, Hailey Gordon scored twice and Alex Rose made 12 saves for East Lyme (5-1).
H.S. boys' lacrosse
• Jake Mueller, Nick DeDominicis and Aaron Lahah scored two goals each as Stonington beat Woodstock Academy 8-4 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II game. Dave Bibeau had a goal and an assist, Riley Burnside scored, Ben Huynh had two assists and Jeff DeLapp had an assist for the Bears (4-2, 2-1). Kenny Reid made four saves for Stonington.
H.S. boys' volleyball
• Norwich Free Academy lost to Enfield 25-19, 25-15, 25-12. Xirui Wang had nine kills and seven blocks, Yeicon Baez blocked two shots and Colin Barry had seven assists for NFA (1-6).
H.S. boys' tennis
• Waterford beat St. Bernard 4-3 on Monday. Fadi Hage won his singles match for Waterford (2-3) and Alex Zuczek, Pat Mahoney and Shine Yang won their matches for St. Bernard (1-1).

• Individual game tickets for the Connecticut Tigers go on sale at Dodd Stadium on Monday, May 1, starting at 9 a.m. Tickets can also be purchased by calling (860) 887-7962 or online at cttigers.com. The season begins on June 19, when the Tigers host the Tri-City ValleyCats at 7:05 p.m.
