Stonington step dancer qualilfies for international competiton

Piper Doyle, a Stonington resident and a fifth-grade student at Mystic Middle School, has recently qualified to compete at the World Irish Dance Championships in Montreal. She began taking lessons at the age of 4 and has been competing at dance competitions since she was 5. As an Open Champion dancer, she has competed under the teachings of Moira Speer-Warren, Kathleen Devore, Frank Rupp and Michelle Bonina with the Sheeaun Academy of Irish Dance. Sheeaun Academy has locations in Stonington Borough, Madison, Fairfield and Trumbull.
