Access Health CT will participate in several events throughout the state this weekend as part of its ongoing summer outreach program, including an event at Ocean Beach Park in New London.

The goal of the program is to encourage consumers to learn about the benefits of enrolling in health care coverage through the state's online marketplace, www.accesshealthct.com.

The outreach program, titled “Get Out, Get Active, Get Healthy,” will provide opportunities to obtain information about health care coverage plans and potential cost savings offered through Access Health CT.

The event at Ocean Beach will take place from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday in partnership with radio station La Bomba 97.1, WMRQ-F2. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled to Sunday.

Founded in 2009, La Bomba is the only Latin FM radio station in Connecticut. La Bomba afternoon personality DJ Holden will host a live broadcast and play Latin music.
